It has been a couple of weeks now, and the reports from hotels,  restaurants and other businesses around the area are steadily coming in ranging from total devastation to a short power outage.  The lucky ones got by with nothing more than the inconvenience of lost bookings, most of which were made up by  passengers stranded by the storm.  Others have had their worlds turned upside down.

My partner and I were, for the most, part quite lucky through the storm.  I live in Connecticut just yards from the coast but up on a hill and she, in northern New Jersey suffered nothing more than a power outage for a few days,  .   Her family did have substantial damage to a beach house in Point Pleasant NJ when it flooded with 4 ft of sea water.   The photos here are from her visit to the area in the days after the storm.   Almost everyone in the areas affected by the storm, if not directly impacted, knows someone hurt by the storm.

This applies to our clients as well.   The degree of separation was very slim in this storm between who was hurt or untouched and in many cases as random as the brittleness of a bough.

We, like most people dusted off and started as soon as possible getting things back to normal,  making up rescheduled shoots and finishing retouching that had been delayed by the power outage.  Yet we both want to help help in the recovery and the most effective ways we know how is to help those most impacted by the storm recover as quickly as possible.

Here is our offer:

Any Hotel, Inn, Spa or  Restaurant  physically impacted by Hurricane Sandy which will require renovation or repair as a result,  will be photographed at a discount of 50% off of our regular rates.  This is in addition to discounts for larger full property shoots.    We hope this helps get you up and running at regular levels and see quick returns on investments.  Since we are a boutique company, we have to limit this offer to the first 10 properties that contact us by December 31st April 30th to arrange their shoot.  If you would like to take advantage of this offer please get in touch as soon as possible even if you don't have a date for the photography in mind yet.
